Built on Open Source
We believe software should be transparent, auditable, and community-driven. That's why all Super Family products are AGPL-3.0 licensed.
Why Open Source?
No Vendor Lock-In
You own your data and infrastructure. Migrate anytime. Fork the code if our priorities diverge from yours.
Transparency
Audit security, verify compliance, understand exactly how your data is processed. No black boxes.
Community-Driven
Bug fixes and features from users worldwide. Your contributions improve software for everyone.
Rapid Innovation
Open source moves faster than closed ecosystems. Leverage community expertise and shared improvements.
Understanding AGPL-3.0
AGPL is the strongest copyleft license. Here's what it means for you.
Why AGPL-3.0 instead of MIT or Apache?
AGPL ensures that anyone who runs modified versions of our software (even as a service) must share their changes. This prevents proprietary forks and keeps improvements flowing back to the community. If you want to run a closed-source version, contact us for a commercial license.
Can I use Super Family products commercially?
Yes! AGPL allows commercial use. You can self-host for your business at no cost. The only requirement: if you modify the code and offer it as a service to others, you must share those modifications under AGPL.
What if I want to build a proprietary product on top?
We offer dual licensing. Use AGPL for free, or purchase a commercial license if you need to keep modifications private. Contact us for commercial licensing options.
